Information for patients

Our focus is making Thetford Healthy Living Centre the centre of choice for patients wanting a convenient location for their healthcare or community services. We have merged the friendly, caring culture of the cottage hospital with a bright, clean and modern building with up-to-date facilities.

Convenient location and ease of access

We understand that travelling to get health care can be difficult in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, particularly if you live outside the major cities. We are easily accessible by car from the A11 (Norwich-Cambridge), A1066 (Bury St Edmunds), A1075 (Watton) and B1107 (Brandon). There is ample free parking on site.

We are also five minutes walk from Thetford railway station which is on the Norwich to Cambridge line.

If you are eligible for hospital transport, we are on the list of community hospitals, which can make your journey even easier.

Quality care

As we are an NHS facility, all staff follow national quality standards and guidelines. Because we are a community hospital, we do not have emergency cases that can cause your appointment to be delayed or postponed. We pride ourselves on being small and friendly, and will respond readily to any questions or concerns you may raise.

Information on the types of treatment and care we provide is listed under 'Services'.
